Types of Sheet Follower

The  press brake sheet follower is a helpful tool used when bending medium or large plates. In the past, bending such plates required multiple people or crane hooks, which was slow, tiring, and not very safe. But with the press brake sheet follower, the plate gets support during bending, reducing the need for manual labor and making the process faster, more accurate, and safer.

There are two types of press brake sheet followers: Embedded and Portabl. The embedded one is controlled by the press brake machine's system, while the Portable type has its own separate control system.

I. Embedded Press Brake Sheet Follower:

The embedded press brake sheet follower is like a helpful tool for bending machines. It makes bending metal sheets easier and better in a few ways: 

Easy to Use: You can turn it on with a simple switch. No complicated steps needed. 

Can Handle Heavy Stuff: It helps lift heavy metal sheets, so you can work with them easily. 

Works with Machine Data: It knows what's happening with the bending machine and adjusts accordingly. So, you get precise bends every time. 

Needs to be Installed Early: You have to decide to get it when you're buying the bending machine. Adding it later is tricky. 

Needs a Top Machine System: It works best with specific bending machine systems like Delem(DA66T,DA69T), ESA(S860,S875), or Cybelec(VP88). These systems need to have the right features for it to work well.

2.Portable Sheet Follower:

The movable bending sheet follower operates independently with its own control system, which is driven by servo motor. To use it, a magnetic scale is installed on the press brake to track the position of the press brake machine slide. This allows the stand-alone system to adjust and lift the plate material accurately. Typically, the stand-alone bending sheet follower is added later to bending machines with lower configuration systems.

Portable bending sheet follower Feature:

1.Easy Retrofitting: It can be added to a bending machine without needing to change the machine's existing system. This makes it convenient to upgrade existing machines.

2.Works with Most Bending Machines: It doesn't have strict requirements for the bending machine's system, making it compatible with a wide range of bending machines.

3.Mobility: Equipped with universal wheels, the stand-alone bending sheet follower can be easily moved out of the work area when not needed or if there's interference with the workpiece.

4.System Calibration Required: Before lifting plate material, the system parameters need to be adjusted and fine-tuned separately to ensure proper operation.

Overall, the stand-alone bending sheet follower offers flexibility and ease of installation while providing the necessary support for lifting plate materials during bending operations.
