Laser welding is an efficient and precise welding method that uses high-energy-density laser beams as heat sources for welding.With the rapid development of science and technology and the continuous development of new materials, the performance requirements for welded structures are getting higher and higher. Laser welding has attracted attention due to its advantages such as high energy density, deep penetration, high precision, and strong adaptability.
Principle
Laser is a monochromatic, highly directional, bright beam produced by utilizing the principle of light amplification by stimulated radiation. After being focused by a lens or mirror, it can obtain a beam with a diameter less than 0.01mm and a power density as high as 1012R/m2. Energy beam can be used as a heat source for welding.
During laser welding, the laser irradiates the surface of the material to be welded and reacts with it. Part of it is reflected and part of it is absorbed and enters the interior of the material. For opaque materials, the projected light is absorbed, and the linear absorption coefficient of metal is 107-108-1. For metal, the laser is absorbed and converted into heat energy in the thickness of 0.01-0.1um on the metal surface, causing the temperature of the metal surface to rise sharply and then transmitted to the interior of the metal.
Classification:
According to the different ways of laser action on the workpiece and the laser output energy, it can be divided into continuous laser welding and pulse laser welding.
Continuous laser welding forms a continuous weld seam during the welding process. Pulse laser welding inputs energy to the workpiece intermittently. Each laser pulse of the pulse forms a dot welding point during the welding process
